Wanted to post this but been busy lately and not to mentioned I can't online very much often now. Went to this place 2 months back when I was craving for tom yam and my friend said she knows a place with a very 'ho liao' tom yam.
So when she brought me there and I looked at the name of the shop, "Lao Sher Tea House", I was kinda confused. As I thought tea house is where you normally get all those tea pots and tea leaves. So I didn't expect a tea house would be serving tom yam. And when my friend told me they even have "choo char" I was even more stunned, lolz.
Anyway, enough about my confusion, let's get down to the photos which I managed to take. Taken everything with my friend's mobile phone.
The menu, address on top and the business day and time at the bottom.
Took this from my seat at that time. Was sitting at the corner, so I got a full view of the room. Not very big, but they still have place upstairs. Didn't went up though so not sure how big it is.
The kang kong belacan which we ordered. Wouldn't say this is one of the best I had, the veggie was overcooked and it tasted bland. Can't really taste any belacan =\ Most probably wouldn't order this again on my next visit.
And finally, my tom yam maggie~~ xD It's not bad actually. The soup was very thick, more like thin gravy, and lots of other stuffs inside. There were prawns too which I passed over to my friend, hehe. Only downside was, it was not that spicy for me. But I would recommend it to any tom yam lover =D
Friend ordered the clear soup glass noodle. No photos of it though, she gobbled it up before I managed to take a picture of it.
Overall, the ambiance is not bad, except parking would be an issue. Food not bad, price wise, reasonable. I might come back to try the 'choo char' if I got a chance xD
