Appreciation Lunch @ Bangkok Tomyam

Was deleting some photos from my mobile phone when I came across the photos I took back at Bangkok Tomyam. An appreciation lunch provided by the HR department. A new project which I need to be involved in. Lots of projects this year, and just last week I was somehow thrown into a project which is not within my roles and responsibilities -.-''

Anyway, back to Bangkok Tomyam. I heard about this place soon after I joined BBraun. Colleagues and friends kept raving about how good the tomyam is. Been wanting to go there ever since, but just couldn't find a suitable time. So was happy when the HR department decided to treat us our lunch there xD

Overall, the food was good. Though the tomyam soup is just mediocre for me. Tasted better ones someplace else. But still, not bad la. Don't mind coming again.

McDonald's Coca Cola can glasses

McDonald's is back with it's famous coca cola glasses. And this time with new design, Limited Edition Coca Cola Can Glasses. I am only aware of this when Yng tag me in Facebook, blek.

Somehow I can imagine super long queues and most of the glasses will be sold out after each color is release each week. Thinking of getting the blue one just for myself, provided if I got the time to get it.

And for those coca cola's glasses collectors out there *cough*Chao*cough*Yng*cough*, HAPPY COLLECTING la xD

Finished watching the latest episode of Glee late last night. Can't wait for the next episode to come out. Anyway, really like the songs they sang at regional, especially this one song.

Get It Right, performed by Rachael Berry (Lea Michele). Great song, very meaningful lyrics. Nice song like this is meant to be shared xD

Harvest In Cafe

Harvest In Cafe, my second birthday treat :D This time treated by one of my close friend from high school. Been wanting to come here for sometimes now, but just couldn't find the time. Grateful that she remembered xD

Soup of the Day. Don't know what soup it was. Creamy but not mushroom soup. It came with our set dinner and none of us know what soup it was, hahaha.

Mushroom Steak. Served as how I ordered it, medium rare. Pinkish in the middle of the meat and some blood oozing out when I cut it. Nice, just how I like it. Enjoyed it a lot xD

BBQ Chicken. MC ordered this, yes, the same MC who treated me on my birthday eve. She happened to call me that day, so we invited her to join us.

Spaghetti in Fusion Style Seafood. New dish, AL gave this a try. Looked nice with all the prawns, shrimps, mussels and everything. But AL said it was only so so.

Our desserts of the night. Fruits tart and ice cream. I only ate the ice cream, don't like fruits tarts, blek.

The place was full that night. There were even people waiting outside. But AL told me it is always full, even during lunch time. Better to make reservation in advance if you decide to dine here, or you can try your luck walk in =D

Goodie Bags~~ xD

Just a short update on the goodie bags I have while I was admitted.

This is given to me by my company. Any employee admitted will get one.

Goodies in the recycle bag, minus the "Get Well Soon" cup. Leave it in the office, so no photo of it. A box of Jacob biscuits, small towel, a packet of Milo and of course the cup.

These are given by my boss. Not sure if they are from my boss alone or shared with my department's co-workers. From what I know, my boss was the one buying these stuffs. Really appreciate it.

And thanks to those that gave me the goodie bags =)

Yorkshire Cafe - Traditional English Food & Desserts

MC asked me out for dinner on my birthday eve. Even though she was the one that asked me out, I ended up have to think of the venue. I decided on Yorkshire Cafe, as I never dined there. And the cafe happens to belong to one of my high school ex-classmate's sister.

We reached around 8pm, which was kinda late for our dinner. Asked the waitress for some recommendations and we picked our orders. Half starving at that time.

My ice lemon tea, a bit sweet to my liking.

I ordered the Steak Pie, hard crust pie to be exact. And it was really so hard that I can't even bite it -.-'' Only ate the beef filling which was very nice. Tasty flavorful chucks of beef.

MC ordered the Shepard Pie, one of the most common traditional English food. She commented it was good except for the side veggies which were hard and bland. And both of us really like the gravy for our food. When I asked for 'refill' for the gravy, they even heated it up before serving it to me. Good service.

The food may not look like much, but both of us were very full by the time we finished them. There weren't much diners around that night, so I took the opportunity to snap some photos of the cafe.

The cafe's specialty - Sunday Roast. But they serve it every Saturday and Sunday, due to the overwhelming response from diners. Gonna give this a try on my next visit.

The lady owner, my friend's sister behind the counter. Talked with her for a bit after our dinner. She told us they don't add MSG in all their dishes, which is good. Preserve the authentic taste of traditional English food. We talked for a while before we leave. Nice and helpful lady :)

Birthday Prezzie 2011

My birthday just passed a week ago. Getting older again. Didn't really celebrated much. A couple of dinner with friends and surprise lunch from SY and my bro. Received a few sms-es and calls. Some wishes from my Facebook wall. Besides that, nothing much, just another normal day.

But well, I got some prezzies, which are always nice to receive :) They might not be much, but still, it's the thought that counts.
