pre-order parcel arrived...~~

the long awaited parcel =x

I finally got my Jay's latest album this morning. I pre-ordered it from yesasia.com as the music stores in Malaysia are over-pricing all the metal version albums. It's actually much cheaper in yesasia.com but after adding the delivery and shiping cost, of course it comes to an higher amount. But still, I rather order it from yesasia.com then purchase the locally over-priced version. Plus it's IMPORTED~~ The local pre-order version only comes with an Imported Metal Case and Rubik's Cube, the cd and dvd are still locally produced. And they charged RM105 for it, zzz... Another difference is, locally pre-order comes with a free poster. Mine comes with a free set of playing cards which I prefer more then the poster.

Actually the parcel arrived on Tuesday. But since my colleague helped me to pre-order it online, it was sent to his house. His off day is on Wednesday and Thursday, so early Wednesday morning, he IM me from his home to tell me my parcel arrive from HK. And at the same time, kacau me because I can only get the parcel from him on Friday, which is today. He even snapped a few pictures of the parcel and email it to me, zzz...

Anyway, I got it with me now, yay!~~ I open the already opened parcel when I got back home. It was already opened because I opened it this morning at work, blek. Took out all the stuffs inside and snapped a few pictures using my cacat camera phone. I haven't listened to the song yet. Will after I finish this post. Want to listen to the songs with undivided attention, blek.

heritage sites & random shots

This is going to be the last part of the heritage sites post. I didn’t walk to the rest of the heritage sites, as I mentioned in both my previous posts, it began to drizzle when I was at Chew Jetty. The rest of photos which I am going to share are random shots which I took when I walked to the Clan Jetties and also back to Fort Cornwallis. So just to make it clear that some of the shots are not of heritage sites.

Well, so those are all of them. Hope you all enjoy viewing as I enjoyed talking them xD And please drop a line of comment or two, thanks. ^^

UNESCO World Heritage Site - Chew Jetty Penang

As a continuation to my previous post on Heritage Sites, this post will be made up of Chew Jetty. I only went to 2 Clan Jetties, as it began to drizzle and I was hungry, blek. I noticed that there are more people living in the Chew Jetty compare to the Lim’s. There are more houses as well, and as I walked in I saw that there is a small mini market locates somewhere in the center of the long rows of houses. Besides the mini market, there is also a shop selling accessories, such as necklaces, hair bands, etc. I guess it’s for the convenience of the people staying there.

Chew Jetty is more like a fishing village with all the boats around. Motor boats can been seen tied to the ports. It’s been quite a while since I last saw this kind of boats. Used to see and traveled in one of these boat a lot when I was back in Sarawak. Just being there brought me back to memory lane, during my childhood life, when I used to travel in these motors boat, to and forth Brunei and Limbang with my family. That was part of my life then, precious. I wouldn’t mind sitting in one of it again if given the chance.

Anyway, back to reality. Seems like more tourists and locals are attracted to Chew Jetty. The place is more crowded than when I was at Lim Jetty. All were busy taking photos. Some even walked up to the front door and took photos of the house inside. That was kinda rude in my opinion. As much as it’s a heritage site, it is still a place called home for some other. What if some stranger just walks up to your front door and snaps a picture? I doubt anyone would like it at all. I overheard one of the auntie complained to her neighbor. “Boh bin pek ee lang hip hamik, mah si lang eh chu nia” which literally means “I don’t understand why they are taking photos, it’s still just a home where people live in.” The auntie was quite annoyed by the sudden intruded of all the people to her home. Well, couldn’t blame her as her normal peace and quiet day was disrupted by the noise of all the people ‘visiting’

I tried to take some nice photos as fast as I can, which was kinda hard as there were people walking everywhere. But still, I snapped as much as I could till it began to drizzle. That was when I decided to stop and started to walk back to Fort Cornwallis. I did took quite some photos there, but only going to share a few which in my opinions are the nicest of the lots.

UNESCO World Heritage Site - Lim Jetty Penang

Was at KitKeatBar's blog when I saw the word Heritage in the title of one of his post. It reminded me that I never post the photos I took when I was at the Malacca and Georgetown World Heritage Event. I lost my mobile phone on the same day and I guess while I am trying to shift the sad memory out of my head, I actually forget about the whole event itself. =.=''

It was some sort of an event to celebrate that Malacca and Georgetown been accepted into the UNESCO World Heritage list. It's a very big deal kinda thingy, really, as only 8 sites are chosen by UNESCO. The other sites are in Croatia, France, Papua New Guinea, San Marino, Slovakia and Germany. I guess I am lucky to live in the country where 2 of the heritage sites are. But still, if there is a chance, I would want to travel to the rest of the sites and capture the beauty of all the sites in a lens. Hopefully I got myself a good camera also by then, blek.

Ok, back to Georgetown Heritage Sites. The core areas for historical sites of Georgetown consists of the Lebuh Acheh historical enclave, the Lebuh Acheh Malay Mosque, Jalan Mesjid Kapitan Kling Mosque, the Goddess of Mercy Temple, Sri Mariamman Temple, Khoo Kongsi, St Georges Church, Assumption Church, St Xaviers Institution, Convent Light Street, Little India, the museum and court building, the commercial area of Beach Street, Fort Cornwallis, Esplanade, City Hall, the Clan Jetties and the port areas.

I didn't managed to go to all of the sites. It was drizzling too on that day if I recall correctly. Nevertheless, I took quite a lot of photos which is why am going to separate them into few parts. For this post, the photos were all taken at Lim Jetty, one of the Clan Jetties.

Pardon for the poor photos taking qualities, as I am an amatuer to begin with. And I was not armed with a good camera. Lastly I rescale the photos to a smaller size, thus resulting it in an even poorer quality? =x
