Blood Donation Drive

Another late post. Yea, I know again but been kinda busy lately especially at work. More projects this year, foresee myself going for another business trip but somewhere nearby this time, longer working hours and the list goes on. Anyway, enough about work and back to my main point.

The blood donation drive was back again at my workplace 2 weeks back. Volunteered myself again for the good cause. The doctors and nurses from GH were late and our company nurse were shouting on the phone. They went to the wrong company. Instead of B.Braun, they went to Jabil =.=

I only slept for like 3 hours the previous night and was having doubts that I was 'fit' enough to donate. But somehow I managed to pass the preliminary tests and proceed to donate.

It was slightly more painful compared to last year. I have small veins and my pack was filling up very slowly, that I almost fell asleep!! -.-'' I was the first to donate among my team mates but the last to fill up the blood pack =x Was a bit dizzy after my donation due to my lack of sleep the previous night. Should remember to sleep early next year.

And the gift for this year, one B.Braun bath towel. The nurses this time were more professional too. Last year I got quite a large bruise after the donation. But this time, no bruises, just a small mark where the needle was.

Hopefully my blood will be able to help someone out there :)

Attendance of the day~~

This is what happened when it's raining too early in the morning and everyone is still not in the mood to start work =P

Well, not my piece of 'conteng-conteng' work, I only captured it with my mobile phone xD Credits goes to Liza for drawing and coloring the tortoise, while Renu added some stripes on the tortoise's shell. Not a bad piece of work I would say, hehe...

Granny's 80th Birthday @ Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant

Celebrated my grandma's 80th birthday last Saturday night. My uncle treated all of us to a family dinner at Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant. My first time dining there. Didn't even know there is a chinese restaurant along Abi Siti Lane =x

Took some quick photos of all the dishes that night. Borrowed my friend's camera for it xD

Petai~ My least favourite dish. I don't take vegetables =\

Fish meat, cooked in two different style? Adrena said there were two different fish meats. I don't really tasted the difference, tasted just like fish to me =P But the presentation of the dish gave me an impression that fish meats were from that whole fish itself. Anyway, it was nice dish xD

Pork Trotter, very tasty albeit a bit fattening.

Some bread or mantou for the gravy from the pork trotter. I always have the impression that mantou are round in shapes.

Kailan Veggie. The leaves are cut from the stems and fried till crispy. Kinda nice.

Kerabu Chicken. Only had one or two pieces of this.

Fried Mantis Prawn. Nice dish but a tad salty and powdery.

We thought this to be tomyam soup and even scooped it to our small bowls. But it turned out not to be tomyam soup. It was actually prawn curry -.-''

Our dessert of the night, Peanut Soup *I think it's called peanut soup* and err, some fried stuffs with lotus seed paste. Ok, I don't know what it's called but it was a bit too sweet for me. Not really fond of sweet foods =.=

Overall most of the dishes were nice, and it's nice to have some sort of a family gathering dinner once in a while. Didn't meet with some of my cousins for quite sometimes and it was nice catching up with them again, even if it was only for a short period.

And again, Happy Birthday Ah Ma!!~~ xD
