I was standing at the balcony when I saw the beautiful sky. Couldn't resist not taking photos of it. I don't have a camera though, so I can only took them with my lousy camera phone, blek. But they doesn't turn out half bad, so I guess it's acceptable. Can't expect too much from a camera phone anyway, can't I? T_T
I really like the orange glow effects the sun emits. I can visualize a beautiful sun set at the other side of the island. Too bad I can't see it. Well, anyway, hope the beauty of the sky can be seen from the photos I took, haha. And hope you guys like it xD
Snapped this at someplace, but not going to mention where. Please just focus on the statement in Malay. "Dilarang membuang sebarang benda ke dalam mangkuk tandas." Hmmm,I may not have speak Malay in a very long time, but I think the statement doesn't sounds right. If I translated it correctly in English it would be this: "Do not discard ANYTHING into the toilet bowl"
Wonder where should they throw all the toilet papers. So everyone, once done pooping, please dispose your poop elsewhere as nothing is allowed to be thrown into the toilet bowl =P
Been using my new iPod Shuffle for more than a month now. My first ever Apple product and I got it free from Maxis xD When we received it from Maxis at work, we tried not to get confuse and mix our iPods as we are all getting the same color, haha. Silver-ish grey, not complaining about the color, but just wish we get to choose which color we want. We were asked to check if everything are in the box, I don't think Apple would actually screw this up.
In the box:
* iPod shuffle
* Earphones with Remote
* iPod shuffle USB Cable (1.8 inches/45 mm)
* Quick Start guide
Everything checked, and off we went, everyone smiling gleefully just like a little child having his/her first toy =P
Honestly, I was never a fan of iPod Shuffle, other products yes, but not shuffle. So when I first saw there was only a ON-OFF button on the shuffle, I was kinda surprised. The last time I checked on the Shuffle was some years back, when it was more of a rectangular shape and there were buttons on it in the form of a circle. Guess I am outdated on this Shuffle technology *blushed*
I briefly flipped through the manual and only found out that the controls are no longer on the Shuffle but instead they are on the earphone. I tried this after work as I don't iTunes in my company's laptop nor can I install it. The functions works really well, but I don't really like the way of executing it. The main control lies in the center of the 'remote':-
Play/Pause: Single click
Go to next track: Double click
Go to previous track: Triple click
I prefer to do my things in the most simplest way possible. In the conventional method, usually we just need to click once on the button and we can choose to repeat, skip or return in just one click, of course there are more buttons to press on.
For the new shuffle, since everything is executed with just one button, different numbers of clicks need to be applied to execute a different tasks. Of course this would make the Shuffle looks much neater and more stylish in a way, but it also complicate things a little. The new process wouldn't be an issue for the younger generations, but the older generations, such as most of my new colleagues whom are not really technology savvy are having a hard time trying to cope the way of handling it. They miss all the buttons, hahaha...
I have no problem in using the new remote, but I am annoyed with the 'Go to previous track' function. By right, triple clicks should bring me back to the previous track, but everytime I triple clicked, it only repeat my current track, and I need to do another triple click for it to go to the previous track. So in total, I need to click 6 times for it to go back to the previous track, zzz... I totally ignore that function now =x
The white ear phones and the remote in the middle. I always like iPod's white ear phone xD Ok, besides the color, the sound from the ear phone is pretty clear, I was pretty amazed by the quality of the sound produced hehe...
Overall, I am quite satisfy with my new Shuffle, though I still complain that I can't drag and drop songs into my Shuffle every now and then, blek.
PS: Sorry for the poor photos quality, only took them with a normal camera phone T_T
Just a song I kept listening to lately. Like this song. A song which I can very much relate my life to. Anyway, just want to share the song with you guys. Hope you guys will like it as well =)
Those who know this song most probably already knew this is the theme song for FFXIII. So here's the song with the game AMV Trailer. Lyric below the video.
Leona Lewis - My Hands
I wake in the morning
Tired of sleeping
Get in the shower
And make my bed alone
I put on my makeup
Talk into the mirror
Ready for a new day
Without you and
I walk steady on my feet
I talk, my voice obeys me
I go out at night
Sleep without the lights and
I do all of the things I have to
Keeping you of my mind
When I think I'll be all right
I am always wrong cause
(My hands) don't want to start again
(My hands) no they don't want to understand
(My hands) they just shake and try to break whatever peace I may find
(My hands) they only agree to hold
(Your hands) and they don't want to be without
(Your hands) and they will not let me go
no they will not let me go
I talk about you now
And yeah I do without crying
I go out with my friends now
I stay home all alone
And I don't see you everywhere
And I can say your name easily
I laugh a little louder
Without you and
I see different shades now
(and I) I'm almost never afraid now
But when I think I'll be okay
I am always wrong cause
(My hands) don't want to start again
(My hands) no they don't want to understand
(My hands) they just shake and try to break whatever peace I may find
(My hands) they only agree to hold
(Your hands) no they don't want to be without
(Your hands) and they will not let me go
no they will not let me go
Sometimes I wake
I see them reaching out for you
Quietly break
Whatever shields I spent so long building up
I cannot fake
Cause when they cry I'm almost broken
They miss holding my baby
My hands, ahhhhh
no they don't want to understand
they just shake and try to break whatever peace I may find
(My hands)
(Your hands) they don't want to be without
(Your hands) and they will not let me go
no they will not let me go
(My hands) don't want to start again
(My hands) no they don't want to understand
(My hands) shake and try to break whatever peace I may find
(My hands) only agree to hold
(Your hands) no they don't want to be without (they don't want to be without)
(Your hands) and they will not let me go
no they will not let me go
Had a mini pre-birthday celebration at Sunset Bistro the night before my birthday. I actually have decided not to plan any birthday celebration for my own starting this year onwards. Guess I am just getting lazy or too old for this kind of stuff anymore, haha. Anyway, it's not like a lot of people remember my birthday.
Well, Audrey planned this mini celebration out for me. It was a bit last minute and some people can't made it, but it was not bad. I had some fun there. I suggested the place Sunset Bistro since I never been there and most of them never been there xD
We reached the place early, as I wanted to catch the sunset. I heard a lot about how beautiful the sunset from a lot of people, so I wanted to catch it with my own eyes. When we got there, our tables were already set out for us, on the beach. The weather was still hot so we waited inside the hut.
We noticed this white parrot at the side. I took some sesame seed and fed it. That was Daniel's hand on the photo feeding the parrot. Looked timid right? WRONG!!
Not long after that, I was attacked by the so called timid parrot!! ROAR!! The stupid bird bite my button not wanting to let go. Took me quite a while to free myself from it, -.-||
We went to our tables a while after the parrot attack. Just ordered some drinks as it was still too early for dinner. I took this time to snap around the place and the beach. I uploaded some photos here to share, but most of the photos would be in my facebook.
Saw Yan aka Zhu Yan, Adrena and Daniel Boii xD
I kinda like this pic. Would have been nicer if the sun is exactly in the center.
Daniel Boii is too heavy to be lifted into the air, =P
The sunset wasn't really that nice that evening but I still enjoy watching it. Always like the sunrise and sunset, especially sunset. I never grow tired watching the sun goes down and slowly disappearing into the horizon. The beauty never fail to amaze me.
After the sunset, we decided to start ordering our food. We called the waitress to take our orders and I actually almost wanted to shout at her, zzz... This was what happened.
Waitress: *Just took out a small notepad, never say a word* Me: We would to have the Black Pepper Steak, Sizzling Steak, Sizzling Chicken and Fish and Chip. Medium rare for the steaks please, thanks. Waitress: *Jotting jotting* Ok, fish and chip, just one right? *And she was about to walk away* Me: No, I just order FOUR dish just now. The others are Black Pepper Steak, Sizzling Steak and Sizzling Chicken Waitress: *Jot jot jot again* Ok, just 2 right? Me: No, we order FOUR dish total! *getting frustrated* Black Pepper Steak, Sizzling Steak, Sizzling Chicken and Fish and Chip! *in a slower but louder tone* Waitress: *jot jot jot with a expressionless face* Ok, just 3 right? Me: *WTH!!! HOW DENSE COULD A PERSON POSSIBLY BE?!?!* FOUR, We order FOUR dish! What have you written there?!? Waitress: *mumbled and pointed in the menu the dish she has written* Me: OK! Last one is Black Pepper Steak! Waitress: Ok, so 4 right? Me: Yes!! FOUR!! And please medium rare for the steak. Waitress: *Walked off* ME: @$@#%@#$%^@#$%$&$^*&$
Black Pepper Steak which doesn't look like Black Pepper Steak. There is no black pepper sause, it was over-cooked and dry and the taste is like eating a very hard rubber. Worst steak I ever tasted.
Daniel Boii ordered the Fish And Chip. Even the presentation on the food looked dull -.-'' Daniel said it was not nice and the fish is hard.
Sizzling Chicken and Sizzling Steak. Don't ask me which is which, both looked the same to me, burnt and dry =\ And they even forget to include the black pepper sauce which supposed to come together with the steak n chicken. We requested for the black pepper sauce from the same waitress that took our orders. 15 minutes later, still no black pepper sauce. We requested again from another waiter, less than 5 minutes, we got our black pepper sauce. Seriously, someone should just sack the waitress =_=
Conclusion on the food, they sucks. The western food at Fettes Park could owned them by a thousand miles. And with the not so cheap price, they should have been better. Next visit here, stay away from the food or just the western food and also stay away from the waitress if she last that long =x
After the worst dinner we ever have, we went down to the beach again to take some photos.
It was Earth Hour that night, and the lights supposed to be switch off at 8.30pm. But all the stalls here are not participating the Earth Hour event which was disappointing so no lights was switch off.
Audrey initially planned to bring out my birthday cake around 8.30pm so I can blow off my candles together with when the lights go off. But since Sunset Bistro is not participating with the event, I still have to blow my candles anyway, haha.
Well, I guess that wraps it all up. We went back after the cake session and each group parted their own ways. To be honest it was not much of a celebration but I really appreciate Audrey for her effort of doing this for me. Thanks a lot. And also thanks to those that came xD
Oh, I got this Starbucks Orange Juice free thanks to Daniel Boii on the same night. Thanks to him all our drinks on Starbucks that night were on the house, haha. I guess that made up for the worst dinner I ever have xD
Went out with my closest friend from high school on the night of my birthday. I almost cancel it as I was having pain on my chest due to my previous accident. I actually cancelled my lunch with another friend due to it. Was experiencing the pain on the night before my birthday and it went on till the next day, zzz... It got a bit better during the night, so I decided not to cancel it.
Initially she planned to bring me to a Swiss Restaurant somewhere in the Jetty area, but it was closed that day. So we decided to go to Salsa which is near Upper Penang Road. We parked our car at Red Garden car park, and just as we were about to get out, it started to rain very heavily, swt. Even after armed with an umbrella, we were still drenched wet straight after gotten out from the car. We went back into the car and re-think our next destination, haha. It's quite a distance from the car park to Salsa, and judging from the heavy rain and ferocious wind, we came to a conclusion that it was safer to just go somewhere else and not take risk under the thunderstorm.
Clueless of where to go, I just kept driving till we reached Island Plaza and I turned into Prima Tanjung. That was when we spotted this restaurant. Since neither of us been here before, so we thought why not give it a try. The rain was not as heavy as before, but I still park near the shop lots, just in case, blek.
Taipei Food Avenue, this is how the restaurant looks like from the road.
The menus for the set meals are hanged just beside the entrance. Customers can briefly browse through on the meals they serve before they decide to dine in. My friend and I did just that but we were too hungry to think much at that time. So we just went in, wakakaka...
Most of the dishes in the menu are set meals, which is good actually, for me at least as I prefer to order set meals. The price is quite reasonable as well, ranging from RM1x.xx to RM2x.xx. Set meals comes with soup, rice, main dish, side dish, dessert and drink.
Spoon and chopsticks. Basic cutlery in a chinese restaurant. Honestly, I still haven't really grasp the correct technique of holding and using the chopstick *pai seh la*
The set meal my friend ordered. Can't remember what's it called, only know it was chicken in a claypot. My friend gave me some of the chicken and it was actually quite good. My friend enjoyed it a lot xD
Mine!! Hehe.. I ordered the sweet and sour pork ribs and this is one of the best sweet and sour pork ribs I ever tasted. The sauce is very thick and the sourness and sweetness of the sauce is just right. Nice!! Thumbs up from me xD
My dessert, Fried Ice Cream!! Been quite a while since I last had this. It was very popular when it was first introduced in Malaysia. It was served to me at the end of my meal. And I still remember asking my friend how come she has dessert and I don't. Her set meal comes with green beans sago as the dessert and was served to her along with her main dish. And I was just asking out of curiosity.
When my friend went to pay the bill, I noticed the newspaper clipping they stick to the wall. I can't read Chinese so I don't understand what it says, but my friend told me the newspaper was promoting their restaurant. Their are more newspaper clipping, but I only took 2 photos of them. Guess the place is more well-known than I thought it was.
Well, those of you who still haven't try this place, why not give it a try. Good food and reasonable price. And I have to thank my friend for treating me to this simple but nice dinner xD *though we actually found this place by chance xD*

Ok, this is a very late post. Been wanting to update my blog but been procrastinating for too long. Stop blogging for a few months and somehow the mood to blog wasn't around anymore.
Anyway, a few of my friends been asking me to upload the photos of my accident during the CNY. For those who didn't know, I was in an accident on the third day of CNY when I was just going to visit a friend. Nothing serious though, just broken ribs =x
Not going to write much here, I mean it's been more a month ago so it just not much of an update anyway. Well, here are some photos from the crash and the outcome from it =\
My wristband from the hospital I was admitted. The food sucks, haha... blek..
When I went to the workshop to check at and take photos of my car, only then I realized how hard I must have banged that tree. Considering the speed I was driving at that moment, it couldn't have caused such a damage. I guess my uncle was right, I might have panic when I saw the dog and step on the gas instead of the break. I don't really recall much, as it happened very fast. Too fast...zzzz...
And this is the tree I banged. Seems like I leave a mark on it as well. A piece of bark came off -.- Took this photo couple of weeks back, couldn't find the chunk of bark anywhere. Maybe the dog took it =x
I'm supposed to upload my x-ray as well. But I can't seems to find it, haha. Must have misplaced it somewhere. I know, I know, it's a big piece of brown envelope, how could I possibly lost it. But I really couldn't find it ma @_@''. Sheena going to 'hentam' me on this. Will upload once I find it, if I ever find it la xD
