MC asked me out for dinner on my birthday eve. Even though she was the one that asked me out, I ended up have to think of the venue. I decided on Yorkshire Cafe, as I never dined there. And the cafe happens to belong to one of my high school ex-classmate's sister.
We reached around 8pm, which was kinda late for our dinner. Asked the waitress for some recommendations and we picked our orders. Half starving at that time.

I ordered the Steak Pie, hard crust pie to be exact. And it was really so hard that I can't even bite it -.-'' Only ate the beef filling which was very nice. Tasty flavorful chucks of beef.
MC ordered the Shepard Pie, one of the most common traditional English food. She commented it was good except for the side veggies which were hard and bland. And both of us really like the gravy for our food. When I asked for 'refill' for the gravy, they even heated it up before serving it to me. Good service.
The food may not look like much, but both of us were very full by the time we finished them. There weren't much diners around that night, so I took the opportunity to snap some photos of the cafe.

The cafe's specialty - Sunday Roast. But they serve it every Saturday and Sunday, due to the overwhelming response from diners. Gonna give this a try on my next visit.

The lady owner, my friend's sister behind the counter. Talked with her for a bit after our dinner. She told us they don't add MSG in all their dishes, which is good. Preserve the authentic taste of traditional English food. We talked for a while before we leave. Nice and helpful lady :)
