China House @ Beach Street

Visited China House few weeks back just to try the very famous tiramisu. Been getting these rave comments from my friends on just how good it is. Tempted, thought I give it a try, though I don't really like sweet desserts =x

Went with my cousins, and we sat near the entrance.

Adreana and I ordered the milkshakes. Can't remember the name of the milkshakes as they didn't leave a good impression for us. Both milkshakes are very bland and too 'watery' to actually be a milkshake -.-

KL ordered the blended juice, combinations of mango, orange and another fruit which I can't remember. The mango overpowered the other flavors but still, it was way a lot better than the milkshakes.

Complimentary drinks. Plain water served in a big glass bottle. If only we knew earlier we are going to be given this =\

The famous Tiramisu with Kahlua. RM12 per slice. Quite a big piece, need at least 2 or maybe 3 person to share among each other. The tiramisu is slightly different from the normal tiramisu. Instead of cocoa power sifted on top of the cake, it has some sort of sweet coated nuts. Overall the cake was too sweet to my liking and I feel it's a bit overrated =P

Italian Cream, not sure if I remember the name correctly. I prefer this over the tiramisu. Not too sweet and it has a cheesy taste to it. RM12 per slice too albeit it's a smaller portion.

Shelves with some books and magazines.

I went out to the open courtyard to take some photos. It was a hot sunny day, so no one occupy all the tables there. Managed to take some shots of the 'empty' courtyard =D
The open courtyard stretches to a lounge at the end. There is actually a second entrance to China House from Victoria Street. The lounge is not open during the day, so I didn't get to take any photo of it.
