It's been a while since I last read a book. Last book I read was Where Rainbows End by Ceceilia Ahern if I am not mistaken. Was quite a long time ago. After that, my time were spent mostly on online games, chatting, facebook, downloading series, animes and other craps which needs internet connection. But after I moved out to a much comforting place, I was strip from the comfort of using the internet as well.
And since I can't online that much, I turned to other alternatives. Solving Jay's Rubik cube and reading books, blek. Still haven't really solve the cube, 98% done though, can't seem to get the heads in the center position to face in the same direction as the rest, zzz. Anyone smart enough to teach or show me how?
Ok, back to books. Borrowed a few books from my bro. I don't really buy books nowadays, as I feels it's kinda 'tin teh' after I finished reading them. Used to buy a lot, got a whole collection of R.L Stine books last time, not forgeting Stephen King and Christopher Pike as well. But after moved in and out for the past few years, I can't seem to find my books now. Maybe my ah ma sell them or given them away for charity. I refrained myself from buying books after that, but I still can't manage to control myself to stop buying comics. Got 2 boxes full of comics somewhere which my ah ma kept nagging me about and which I always ignore =P
O'rite, seems like I was side tracked again. Back to the main topic. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, one of the book my bro lend me. Very popular book in the market now and soon to be a big motion picture. There are sequels to the book. *Don't they always?* Twilight, followed by New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. My bro want to get all the books before the movie comes out and they change the front cover of the books to some movie poster with the main casts on it. Honestly, I don't like that either. Lost the originality of the book.
Anyway, as I was saying, the Twilight saga is about a relationship between a human and a vampire. Typical storyline, or so I thought. After reading the first few chapters, I found myself drawn to it. Being sucked inside the book, anxious to know what going to happen next. I am actually more interested in the characters rather than the plot of the story. It was interesting to read the conversations they have. Witty, full of sarcasms and yet funny. And as the story progressed, the characters matured it becomes even more interesting. Never once failed to amuse me. Simply irresistably amusing. Captivating.
I finished the book in 2 days. If I don't have to work, I might even finish it in a day. That was how engrossed I was while reading it. Nonetheless, it is a very good book. Worth the time reading, and worth the money to buy it if plan on collecting the Twilight Saga. But of course, I only apply it to the first book. Still haven't read the rest of the sequels...yet.
Well, if anyone of you is not too busy for a book, Twilight would be top in my recommendation list, for now at least =D
"About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second there was a part of him -
and I didn't know how dominant that part might be -
that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably
in love with him"
