All in a day's work

Last week at work was very busy. We were having audit at work and everyone seems to be busily rushing around for something or someone. I, on the other hand, was not busy with the audit thingy, will only involve if the system or server down. I am more of a background person and people only tend to remember me when they crash the system -.-''

Anyway, was busy with my own stuff. Was running between my cube and a colleague's cube. Needed to use my colleague's desktop to access some files which I can't access from my lappy, thus the back and forth "cube walkathon". Tiring? Ya, but I don't really mind. At least it made me looked busy =P And time flew by very quickly when you are busy walking around whole day, haha. Before I know it, it was time to head home.

I was finishing my work when another of my colleague came in from the audit. The audit finally wrapped up for the day and she was beaming happily when she came in. Guess all went well. Few minutes later after she sat back at her place and setup her lappy, she suddenly gave out a scream and called out to me. Shocked by the urgency in her tone, I quickly walked over. Before I reached her place, she mentioned something about her screen looked funny. So soon after I got to her place, I looked her her lappy's screen. Guess what I saw?

THIS!!! Her screen display is cracked. I was stunned. This is actually the first time I see a screen cracked from the inside and form quite a 'nice' pattern xD

Me: Ei, crack liao la. You drop it just now?

S: No la, I didn't drop it. I just carry it over here then on become like that d.

Me: Then you put something in between your display and the keypad is it? Your mouse?

S: Ya la, I always do like that ma.

Me: You see the crack's shape is so ngam with the top of the mouse *pointing to the crack* Swt lo you, no one put a hard and slightly pointed object in between the screen and keypad with the top close la.

S: But I always do like that ma, nothing ever happened also.

Me: First time for everything la. Maybe you ter-press the top too hard and the display ter-press the mouse and ter-crack lo.

S: Then how?

Me: Crack d, can't do anything. Need to replace the display lo. Call IT la, this I can't help you d.

She called one of the IT guy and he said the same thing. Wakakaka, I actually laughed at her, blek.

This is how she's using her lappy now. With a spare monitor at the back till everything settles. The company can't claim for a new replacement as it is a physical damage so end up need to pay for the replacement. The replacement cost close to RM1K *faint*

Hmm, guess I better careful with mine. Don't want my mouse to kill my display =P
