simple birthday night out

Homecooked dinner, been quite a while since I had one. Last week, 2 of my friends brought me to this place somewhere at Tg. Tokong. It's a home-based eatery or however you called it. The cook is a lady. My friend said she's German, but somehow she sounded like American to me.

A simple setting outside the house. The cooking and preparing of the food is done outside as well.

The table setting. Simple as well. Just some soft white cushion on the metal chairs.

Garfield da orange cat. Belong to the owner. He kept putting his front paws overlapping each other and staring at you with big round eyes. So cute!~

Our mushroom soup. It's not the creamy type, more of the normal watery soupy type. I think the mushrooms were stir fried before being thrown into the soup. Tasted a bit of the 'burnt' taste from the mushrooms. Not bad actually, and my friend said the food here is cooked healthily.

I ordered the Roast Pork Ribs, which was also recommended by the cook. Plus, there is not many place where you can actually order Roast Pork Ribs. Very nice albeit the sauce is a tad salty, but still, nice xD

The Roast Chicken used the same salty sauce as the pork. But I don't really like mainly because it was the breast part of the chicken. Never like that part, the meat is kinda dry there. Ughh... But my friend enjoyed it la, so I guess it was actually nice, hehe.

Spaghetti Bolognese. One of the best spaghetti I ever tasted. She added some kind of herbs together with the tomato puree, and it tasted just great. Recommend this, thumb up xD

Thanks to my friends for treating me to this nice dinner and celebrating yet another early birthday with me.

After dinner we headed to Coffee Island at Gurney Drive. I actually never heard of this place till that night *blush* The place was very packed, almost full house and to think I never even heard of this place, zzz.

We wanted to sit outside, there was no vacant table so we ended up sitting inside. It was air-conditioned inside but outside would have the mood of the environment more. While we were there, there were a few more groups that were celebrating birthday as well. Birthday song was being played for quite a few times.

We had a nice talk about the good ol' days before we decided to call it a night.

Thanks again guys for the nice night out =D
