Am at work now. Came early to check on the macro I leave running before I went back yesterday. Reached work around 7.15am. Decided to get a bread and a cup of milo for breakfast as I felt my tummy was kinda empty after yesterday unfortunate ordeal.
As I was eating my bread, I logged into the terminal server to check my work silently praying that no error would occur. But I guess my prayer wasn't answer as I saw the same dreadful error I encountered for the past couple of weeks appeared in front of me soon after I logged into the server.
"Not Enough Space in Temporary Space"
The same error kept appearing and appearing till I see liao also sien, zzz.. I tried google for solutions but came out with no result. Not excatly no results, there were lots of results, just when I tried applying it to my case, it didn't work. My friend helped me found a solution which I had to increase the MaxLocksPerFile value from the dafault 9500. I did found the same solutions in few different forums, but since I have limited permission in the terminal server, I can't make the changes myself. So I requested help from the IT department in charge of the server. He was reluctanted to change the value for me at first, but he later increase it for me, only to 15,000 though. Most of the forums stated to increased to 200,000 -.-'' but I gave it a try anyway. Same result, same error, grrrr...
I discussed the matter with my collegue, and he suggested to break the query into few smaller queries. And that is what I been doing for the past two weeks =\ (not incuded the time when my workstation's motherboard burnt and I have to redo one of my report) After breaking the queries in two parts, I still have the same error in my second query -.- The first query was ok, luckily. So now I need to break the second query, zzz... sien-ness....
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone encounter the same problem before. If yes, what solution did you use? Anyone care to enlighten me? Am siao-ing from the error, =x
