Mizi Bistro

Went to Mizi Bistro at New World Park with my cousin and her friend a couple of weeks ago. It was a early birthday treat from them. I wanted to try the food there for sometimes now. Went there once with my friends, but the place was full. So this time we tried to get there as early as possible. Reached around 8pm, the place was already half full but luckily there was a table at the back just perfect for the 3 of us.

Since it were the first time the 3 of us dine there, we actually took our time choosing our food. Well, couldn't help it, as the name of the food is too complicated for us to comprehend. And because my brain was trying to understand the menu, I actually forgot to take a picture of the menu =.=

Anyway, after I guess 15 minutes or so =P, we decided on the dinner set and each choose something differ from each other. The set include soup, main course, dessert and drink, all those for only RM19.90, decent price =D

Our drinks arrived first. Then our soup just after our drinks.

Top : Onion Soup, left: Chicken Cream Soup, right: Mushroom Soup

While we were enjoying and testing each other soups, our main course arrived. Yay! I was already starving by then =P

All of us decided on the fish that night.

Fillet Fish - Monte Carlo

Fillet Fish - Lady Astor

My choice : Fillet Fish - Caprice

The food is actually not bad. The sauce is creamy and nice but the veggies is too bland to my liking. I kept shaking more salt and pepper into mine. But I don't really eat veggies either so better don't take my word for it =P

After we finished our main course, we sat and talked for quite a while. Or maybe it was too long that we actually forgot that we still have dessert. They serve ice-cream for dessert and it is self service. By the time I get to the dessert section, all the ice-cream had turned into cream =.=

I tried to scoop the flavour that still had the ice-cream 'look'. Wanted to add some melted chocolate but there was none left except for a few empty bottles. So I ended up adding the colourful-thingy-whatever-it-is-called and headed back to my table. Didn't really like it and didn't even take a picture of it as it was too ugly looking. My cousin and her friend actually managed to scoop quite a big portion of the ice-cream and actually enjoyed it.

Overall, I don't mind coming back the second time. The food is nice, the price is ok only complain is the melty ice-cream. And might tend to feel full after just eating half of your main course. Might be from the creamy sauce, but can always opt for something with less creamier sauce. And best if make a reservation else come early.

Took this pic when it was already closed
