Yay!~ Finally got my speaker back. After what seems like forever, I finally got my speaker back last Monday.
MX - 5021Bought this baby sometimes around June way back in 2006. Love it. Not really a high end speaker, but nevertheless love it. Till it suddenly failed on me beginning of this year. It became soundless, zzz... Didn't know what happened to it, I just on it one day and there was no sound coming out from it. Checked the cable, the plug, whatever there is to check. Everything were properly plugged and in place. Nothing seems to be wrong. I recalled the salesman told me there is a 2 years warranty for my speaker. To confirm, I checked my warranty book, and it's written there 'TWO-Year LIMITED WARRANTY'.
I still got half a year warranty left. So I decided to take it back to the shop and check. Eileen went with me. And it happens that her friend is working at the shop where I bought my speaker from. When I got to the shop, they told me I can't claim warranty because the warranty is only valid for 1 year. I told him the other salesman told me 2 years when I bought it and the book stated 2 years. After a few phone calls, he asked me to pass the speaker to them for repair. But he said he can't gurantee there would be a warranty though. I got no choice, no matter what the situation is, I still need to repair it. So I leave the speaker with them.
Came back home, complain it to Joyce in MSN. Complained about having no sound and also about the warranty. While both of us were talking about the warranty part, I noticed something from the book.
'Under the terms of this warranty, the original consumer purchaser has certain legal rights and may have other rights, which vary worldwide.'
zzzz..... It is written in a much smaller font, I guess I miss it when I read it that time. I told Joyce about it and we started to complain why there is always a certain condition to these kind of thing and everytime the condition would be written in smaller fonts, lolz. Well, that's that. Can't do much about it. Hopefully I can still claim the warranty.
Sometimes around March, got a phone call from my cousin, saying that I can take back my speaker. And I don't have to pay as I can claim the warranty. Double good news. I don't have to pay. Yes, and after almost 2 months of miserable days without my speaker I can finally get my live of sound back, or so I thought. After like 1 week I got my speaker back, the same problem occured again. No sound, zzz...
Sent to repair again. That was then. Now I finally got it back. A NEW one too. After almost 4 months, I got back my new replacement speaker. And the best part is, I got a new 1 year warranty because they lost my original receipt, muahahahaha. But then, I don't want it to spoil liao la. Very sien and troublesome -.-
Now listening to songs in my brand new speaker while typing this, lalala~~ Too bad my landlady is at home, if not I can on the volumn a bit louder, blek.
Anyway, need to pi mandi. Goin my ah ma's place for lunch. Adious~~
PS: Forgot to mentioned they miss out the remote in the new speaker. Going to the shop again =.=
