A friend treated me to Palace d' India last Sunday. Been quite a while since I ate Indian Food, especially those Indian Restaurant, not the mamak type. Both of us never been here before, so we decided to try this place out. I can't remember the last time someone nice treated me to something nice, hehe.
We went in, the place was quite dark. Lightly dim, not much customers. The place was quite big, but only a few tables were filled.

We asked the waitress to make some recommendation on the dishes as both of us were not sure what to order. So, after some indian mumbo jumbo words, we ordered 3 dishes, a plain nasi briyani, a naan and 2 mango lassi.
Plain Briyani. Fragrance and nice, but the taste is just so so nia. Just like the normal nasi briyani elsewhere. The naan, we ordered Stuffed Kulcha (stuffed potato chopped onion coriander). Took a picture, but it was blurred, so I didn't upload it here. Not really much to say about the naan, except I could hardly taste any potatos =\
Dhum Aloo Kashmiri (small potato’s deep fry with red gravy spicy) This potato dish was very recommended by the waitress. Smelled nice, looked nice and tasty, but the taste was only mediocre for me. I expect it to be very good as it was highly recommended by the waitress. Maybe I expected too much, blek.
Chicken Chetinad (Chettair's style of chicken, cooked in the blend of 16 hot spices) and Andra Fish Curry. Both dishes were nice ^^v The chicken meats were very juicy soft and tender. Very strong curry smell with very thick gravy. Same goes for the fish curry as well. I liked the curry gravy from the fish more. The curry gravy for the chicken was a tad too pepperish to my liking, but it taste nice nonetheless. But somehow, both gravies were not really that spicy as I expected them to be.
Mango Lassi. One comment. Fresh and very nice. Thumbs up xD
Overall, the dishes got it hits and misses. And both of us were actually full at the end of our dinner despite how small both bowls of curries were. I wouldn't mind going again to try the other dishes. And those want to try out some nice Indian cuisine, I wouldn't mind recommend this place. The one I went to is at Queensbay Mall, but if I am not mistaken, there is one at Tanjung Tokong. Just try it if you are an Indian food lover xDGuess what for dessert? ^^v

New Zealand ice-cream!~ Yay!~ Yummy ^^ Choc Mint and Lime Lemon Sorbet. Of course Baskin and Haagan are still nicer, but this is not bad. The sorbet is so so so sour that I really love it, hehe.
Thanks again for the treat ^^

You are most welcomed! :D
Luckily we didn't go Canton-i that time. Me and my friends went with my x-colleague to Canton-I at QBay mall last weekend.
it was downright dissapointing. I heard the owner is the same as Dragon-I.
Pricewise also same like Dragon-I but the food served is more of the local HK food.
Not worth eat. Wan Tan Mee, Char Sui Pui, HK style chee cheong fan each cost around rm10 or rm11.
Drinks also taste like very diluted. double bleek
Maybe the Moi or Congee is different a bit, much more thicker.
1 moi, 1 mee, 1 che chong fan , 1 dessert, 2 drinks + 1 flower basket tea = RM72 (3 person)
End up i think all also eat not full. So so evironment, cheapo tables n chairs. Save yur $, Penang hawker food still taste better. >.<
hmm... i heard that they are famous for their moi... but from wad u said... it's kinda exp...
but still will try once i guess... for d moi xD
thanks again for d treat xD
