Swenson - Autocity, Juru

A friend treated Eileen and I to Tao at Autocity, Juru on the 30th couple of days ago. Booked a table at 8.30pm but we reached Autocity kinda early as to avoid the jam at Penang Bridge. Reached around 6pm++, we walked around the area a bit and snapped a few photos here and there. We eventually got tired of walking around, as there is really nothing much to see anyway so I suggested we hang out at Swensen.

The Christmas decorations was still up, but it was not really that nice. All the ice-creams in the menus still look as tempting as ever. Each of us ordered something different.

Choc Frosted Malt

Caryn ordered the Choc Frosted Malt. Double scoops of Choc ice-creams covered with whipped cream, some small round rice balls covered with chocolate and a cherry on the top. The light colored choc ice-cream tasted not bad, a much lighty choc taste and not so sweet. The chocolate rice balls actually reminded me of another round chocolate rice balls, which I used to eat when I was still a kid. Anyone still remember Chocolate Ding Dang or Tora-amon? xD Even the taste were not much difference.

Wham!Bam!Yam! and Mango Madness

I ordered the Wham! Bam! Yam! Served in a small oval bowl, double scoops of yammy ice-creams, some longans, whipped cream and a cherry to finish it off. Very yammy in flavor but a tad too sweet to my liking.

Eileen ordered the Mango Madness. Served in the same type of bowl, double scoops of mango ice-creams, some fresh mangoes, seasoned strawberry *according to Caryn*, strawberry and mango syrup, whipped cream and of course a cherry on top. Trying to avoid the strawberry's syrup. I sampled a spoonful of it. It just tasted ok for me, but Eileen and Caryn seems to enjoy it. Different tastebuds I guess, hehe.

Overall, not bad la. Albeit I feel the price is quite pricey. I would still prefer Baskin Robbins anytime, but Häagen-Dazs would still be my personal favourite except for the price =x
