Went shopping at QBM on New Year Eve. Clothes hunting for the CNY. Reached QBM around 3pm, the mall was packed with people. Almost everywhere in the mall, people were carrying their branded paper bags. Guess, GAP, Esprit, British India, talk about recession, haha. Guess it's not really as bad as it seems to be.
Browsed in a few shops, didn't saw anything I really like much. Halfway throughout my shopping spree, I saw a large crowd gathered in the center zone. It was only then that I remembered Bosco Wong is coming for an autograph session and also as a guest artist in the countdown party later that night. I stood behind the large frenzy crowd while my friend tried to squeeze in to snap his picture. Caught a glimpse of the Hong Kong TVB actor, very tall and not bad looking in person. Once my friend done with her photo taking, we continue on with our shopping.
By the time, we were done with our shopping, it was dinner time. Initially the plan was to eat at Kim Gary, but when we got there, there was a large crowd surrounding Kim Gary. It just so happened Bosco was having his dinner there, and his fans just can't get enough of him =.= Poor guy, can't even have a peaceful dinner or maybe he was enjoying his fame, who knows =P We decided to go Borders and hope that by the time we return to KG, Bosco would have finish eating by then and the crowd would be gone. But guess what? When we returned, Bosco was gone, the crowd subsided but in replaced to that, there was a very long queue =.=
Ok, changed of location. We went to Paddington's House of Pancakes instead cause we were too lazy to think and that was the first eatery we saw.

It was our first time eating there so we were kinda indecisive. Lots of choices, lots of deliciously tempting photos and lots of deliciously tempting food from all the nearby tables, blek. Not sure what to order, I referred to the photos for references. In the end I settled for food No. 206. Somehow, most of the food in the menu doesn't have a specific name but just a brief detailed description of the food.

Double gourmet cheese sausages, beef salami, hash brown & grilled mozzarella. Hmm, reading back the description now, I just notice one thing. My grilled mozzarella was missing!! =.='' How could they have leave out the grilled mozzarella?!? And how could I not have noticed that it was not there?!? zzz... *minus points* The food was on the cold side when it was served to me. I think they pre-prepared most of the food and only heated them up when customers ordered them. Should have heated up the food properly though, the place wasn't even that pack with customers either. I don't like eating cold food which is supposed to be served hot, so I didn't quite enjoy it.
Tokyo
My friend ordered Tokyo. Grilled chicken breast, tomatoes, chicken ham, oyster mushroom, mozzarella, served with rolled pannekoek & mashed potatoes. Her food was served piping hot, even the plate was hot -.- I guess they can't pre-grilled the chicken meat. I sampled a piece of the chicken and it was very nice. Well-seasoned and nicely grilled. Obviously I didn't try the veggie filled pannekoek but my friend said it was very delicious and she really enjoyed them.
Kiwi, lime & Vanilla
while we were eating our dinner, we saw Bosco again. He went up the escalator, surrounded by a few security guards and tailed by all his frenzy fans =.= We finished our dinner and went straight back. Didn't stay for the countdown party, were too tired. When we came out from the car park, the road were jam bumper to bumper. Too late to realize what a big mistake it was and how stupid I was to drive to QBM =\ What used to be a 5 mins drive from my house to QBM has turned into a 40 mins drive back. And the worst part was, I had to park my car near the entrance going to Pulau Jerajak which was quite a long walk back to my house =.=
The jam continued till around 1am++. I kept looking down from my balcony at the traffic jam and wondered why people 'kam guan' to come all the way and stuck in a jam just for a countdown party. When it was finally 12am and fireworks can be heard, the roads were still jam, zzz. Countdown in the car =x My friend took a couple of photos of the jam from my balcony.

I fetched my friend back around 2am++ and on my way back home, the roads to Penang Bridge were very jam. Nice way to end and start the year for some people, by getting stucked in the jam =x
