J Lo Gourmet and Coffee

Just came back about an hour ago from dinner. It was a very(kuasa sepuluh) belated birthday treat dinner for me from my friend. Better late than never I guess XD

We went to J Lo Gourmet and Coffee (I think that's the name, forgot jor *shy*) at Prangin Mall. I really can't recall the last time I went Prangin Mall. It looks like the second BJ Complex to me now.

The front section of the shop

We sat at the table in the corner section. The place was almost empty. This is my second visit here, and if I remember correctly, the first I went here, the place was also almost empty -.-

The emptiness atmosphere

Anyway, we browse through the menu and both decided to order the set meal. While waiting for our food to arrive, we exchanged stories. Its been quite a while since I last saw her, so we got quite a lot to catch up with each other life =D

After like 20 minutes later, we were served with our food. Our soup arrived first. I ordered the mushroom soup, as always and my friend ordered the broccoli soup. Both soup tasted nice, nothing special but it was ok. I would still prefer the one at Mizi over this one.

Da Mushroom and Da Broccoli Soup

Soon after we finished our soup, our main course arrived.

Tada!~ Egg shape chicken cordon bleu
(my order)

Chicken with teriyaki sauce
(can't remember the exact name)

Well, the presentation of both food looks nice. But lets see if it live up to its nice presentation. *cut* *cut* *bite* *munch* *bite* *munch* *swallow* Verdicts..... *drum rolls*

I officially declare it was the worst, I repeat, worst chicken cordon bleu I ever ate. The outer fried layer was very hard, the chicken meat and the ham was dry and I can hardly tasted any cheese in it. zzz...

As for my friend's, she commented that it was too oily to her liking. So overall, it's a thumb down for both main course. I don't know about the rest of their food, but please avoid the chicken cordon bleu at all cause =.=||

Well, disregard the bad choices of food, both of us still continued telling each other stories while biting and munching away. It's actually nice to come out with friends once in a while and each exchanging stories, updating us with what's going on with their life and etc. It was a short night out but it was pleasant.

And thanks again for the treat ^^
