Been quite a while since I was last addicted to any games. Used to be addicted to PS games such as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy. After that I moved on to MMORPG and got myself addicted to Ragnarok Online, Gunbound, Maplestory and GE. Would have still been playing online games if I can online at home. Too bad I can't, so I downloaded a few reflexive games and play that offline instead.
But reflexive games been getting kinda old and boring lately, so I stop playing them for quite a while now. And now, it's on in Facebook. Damn you Facebook, curse you Playfish!! For making me so addicted when I thought I rid myself of online games.
Ok la, just joking. I was introduced to this mini game in Facebook by Miss Jye-Yng. She wanted me to add the application so she can get free ingredient during her first visit to my restaurant. I ended up playing it and get myself hook to it ever since. For those who are living in the other world, Restaurant City is an application by Playfish (same creator as the famous Pet Society) which you can install and play it in Facebook.
The game is basically about having your own restaurant, self-creativity (in deco-ing xD), getting all the awards and leveling up all your dishes to level 10. For those ambitious players can aim to be a restaurant mogul. You can also torture your friends and make them wash the toilets in your restaurant =x I clean my own toilets, haha. Just thought it's not nice to assign your friend in that role, albeit it's only a game.
Another concept of the game is, you can only get 2 ingredients max per day on your own in your very own restaurant. You will get 1 random ingredient everyday you log in and another random ingredient if you answer the food quiz correctly. Answer incorrectly, sorry la, try again tomorrow. Alternative way is, to visit your friends, but only on first visit will you get a random ingredient. Once you visited all your friends, you won't be able to get another ingredient the next time you visited them. That's the beauty of the game, wakakaka.
Another beauty of the game is you can't all the ingredients you need to make your dishes, nor can you or your friends gift it to each other. The only way to obtain the ingredients you need is by trading, back to the era of barter system =D Visit your friends' restaurant, look through their menus and ingredients and make a trade requests with them. Of course they can either decline or accept la.
I just got myself to level 27, which is the max level in Restaurant City for now, I think. Just finished decorating my restaurant as well. You can view a snapshot of it below. Spent more than 100K just to renovate it. For now, I am quite satisfy with the layout. Still feel like something is amiss. Anyway, will add in once I figure it out xD
How's my latest deco? Nice bo? Give some comments or suggestions on how I can further improve on it la. All comments, good or bad is welcome =D
