Chicago Rib House

Last Sunday, I made plan with Ai Ling and Su Yan to try out this new ice-cream shop at Autocity, Juru. I received a forwarded email about this new ice-cream shop called Coldstone which is now open in Autocity. We decided to check it out, and since AL is a very super duper fan of ice-cream, I know she won't reject the offer to go down all the way to Autocity just for ice-cream, hehe.

But when we got there, we couldn't find the shop. I drove around all 3 sections of Autocity till I lost count and still couldn't see it anywhere. Finally we gave up and drove back to the island, to Gurney. Longest journey to Gurney I ever have to drive. Either that shop is closed down or it never existed in the first place -.-'' Wasted our time and my petrol T_T

We decided to have an early dinner when we reached Gurney. We decided to try out Chicago Rib House. And since my bro is working there, we can get 30% discount, wakakaka....

The menu, AL was actually hiding behind the menu, holding it so it won't fall. The fact that you can't see her in the photos proves just how skinny she is -.-

The lamp hanging on top of our table. Not much to snap, so I just simply snapped this, blek.

The table setting and part of the interior. Nothing much to comment on it, as it looks almost the same as Chilis and TGIF.

Our knife and fork, nicely wrapped up in a black napkin. It reminded me of those old old Chinese dramas or the Japanese samurai warrior, where they always tend to wrap their swords/samurais in a piece of cloth.

Old Fashioned Frozen Lemonade or Ice Blended Lemonade, as what I called it. Not sourish enough for me and I tasted more soda than lemon. Still prefer the one in Chilis anytime.

My Pork Rib (full rack), comes with 2 side dishes. SY ordered the Coleslaw and Mashed Potato. The presentation of the dish doesn't appeared that appealing to me. The rib is thickly covered with their special BBQ sauce and the meat is tender. But it tasted just alright for me. SY enjoyed the mashed potato though.

Chicken Meat Tender Platter, also comes with 2 side dishes. AL ordered the Broccoli and Baked Potato as accompaniment to her main dish. The chicken is nice and well marinated. Meat is tender and flavorful.

Overall the food is not bad. Might come back for a second visit to try out the beef ribs but it won't be anytime soon :)
