fettes park western food

Went for some western food last weekend with my cousins. I suggested the western food at Fettes Park, not sure what's the name of the actual shop, but normally we would just said western food and we would know it's the one at Fettes Park. I guess that's what they called great mind think alike, blek.

We reached there quite early, just around almost 6pm. We found a table inside the coffee shop and it was actually the first time I sat inside after being here for a few times now. And I never notice the environment inside the shop could be quite nice. I always imagine it would be hot and stuffy but it was the very opposite. They decorated the inside of the shop in an old fashioned chinese style. It gave out those traditional vibes. Further inside the shop is an open air section, which actually helps the ventilation inside the shop.

After ordering our food, and while waiting since I didn't have much to do, I took out my mobile phone and snapped anything that I found interesting.

Hanging bicycles in the ceiling

Quite a lot of customers in the early evening

da uncle with our mushroom soups ^^

2 mini italian chef minitures on the top

our drinks

da yummy mushroom soup

I stop snapping to enjoy my mushroom soup, XD It is a must order everytime I came here. It's not those type which you order in high class cafe or restaurant. Its more like those cream type from the can except this is actually homecooked with big slices of yummy mushroom. It's a must try for anyone who haven't try it ^^v Usually I would ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu but I was not very hungry that time and the price has gotten a bit pricey. I opted for the Black Pepper Chicken instead. And when it arrived it was very black pepperish and hot. The chicken meat is soft and tender, cooked to perfection, but the taste is ok la for me. It's hotter than most other Black Pepper Chicken I ate before, but it just taste nice and normal. I would still recommend the Chicken Cordon Bleu, hehe.

Black Pepper Chicken

Holland Chicken

Grilled Garlic Fish

Sizzling Chicken and Ham

Chicken Cordon Bleu

My cousin finished her whole plate of Chicken Cordon Bleu, which I always failed to finish up the fries -.-'' Her sister finished up her plate of Grilled Garlic Fish and her friend finished up her whole hotplate of Sizzling Chicken and Ham. Their plates, spotlessly cleaned =.='' Some kids they are, they must have have bottomless pit tummy. I was actually amazed *applaused*

As usual, I can never finish my fries, gave them to my cousins, lalala~ And oh, I forgot to mentioned, while we were waiting for our food, two of the aunties working there, fought with each other, shouting their heads off. And when I said fought I meant fought. They were fighting quite near to our table, and we can listened to the slapping sound very clearly =.= One of the auntie even took a pen out from her shirt pocket and tried to poke the other auntie, arghh, luckily bo poke tiok, if not I can't imagine what would happen. So dashyat!! Everyone were looking at them, I didn't dare to curi snap a picture after I saw the pen swing lai swing ki. I don't want to come back with a souvenier in one of my eyes ~_~

Luckily, the fight didn't lasted very long, it was only around 2 - 3 minutes I guess. After they stop fighting, everyone eyed at them for a while, maybe afraid they will be poked by pen or waiting for fight scene number 2. But of course, none of that happened, and everything went back to normal. The aunties continued working happily like nothing happened, and the rest of us continued eating happily like nothing happened. What a happy ending XD

Anyway, for those who loves western food, I would highly recommend this place. Great food and great life 'show', hehe. Sorry that I don't know the exact name of the coffee shop, but if you know where is Fettes Park, you won't miss it. It is just next to Fatty Loh Chicken Rice.
