Jemputree - Burmah Road, Penang

Went to Jemput 3 last night for dinner. An ex colleague from my previous company treated us and it was also some sort of a gathering for us. It's been quite a while since the four of us last gathered. Despite saying that, they are still the same as ever. Full of wackiness and siao-ness. That's why I like hanging out with them. And especially with Maumao there, our table was clearly the loudest of all, blek.

It was my first time being there. They deco the place like those kampung kampung style. They even stick dried coconut leaves for their ataps. We sat at the treehouse, wanted to sit at the top section of the treehouse but it was reserved at 8.30pm and the reservee never showed up in the end. The ambiance is nice, very jungle like and it's somewhat romantic with the orange lighting, got mosquitoes somemore le, mai siao siao, they burned those coils to halau the nyamuk, but my ex manager still got bitten. Maybe her blood is much sweeter than ours. Only thing I don't like is the place is just beside the one of the busiest road in Penang. It's too noisy in my opinion, a total contrast to the jungle theme they implement.

can't get a clear shot from where i sat, uggh..

The food is just ok for me. I ordered the Kampung Nasi Lemak, which is served in average portion. The price is not that expensive but it's not cheap either. The normal pricing for this type of place I guess. The drinks is a bit on the expensive side though. My ex manager was still hungry after she finished her Nyonya Nasi Lemak, thus she ordered the Mexican Barrito. She also wanted to order the Tapai Ice Cream, but they run out of tapai, so can't try that.

Highly recommended by my friend, but I forgot what it's called

Nyonya Nasi Lemak (my ex manager ate a portion of
something on it before I managed to snapped it)

We went back quite early, due to our table was reserved by another guest. Overall I find this place quite nice, relaxing atmospere (ignore the traffic), smoothing ambiance. The food is just ok though, but it's not a bad place to hang out. It's just somewhere along Burmah Road. Interested can just go check it out ^^
